Successful actor Mitchell is about to make it big, except his “slight recurring case of homosexuality” is getting in the way of marriage, megabucks and superstar branding.He’s ‘not gay’ – he just sleeps with men. One in particular: a rent boy called Alex (played by Nick Cook, pictured). This is the premise of The Little Dog Laughed, a biting satire on the celluloid closet, written by Douglas Carter Beane and directed by Michael Gow, which plays Brisbane from Monday, February 8.
