    Pretty in pink

The lives of Brisbane icons, The Pink Twins, will be celebrated in an original piece of musical theatre at QPAC this month.

The Pink Twins is based on identical twins, Dorothy and Moyia O’Brien, who dress in pink, accessorise in pink, drive a pink car, once lived in a pink house, and have also made a difference to the lives of thousands of people with disabilities through their work with the Sunshine Welfare and Remedial Association (SWARA).

“The humanity of these two remarkable women and their eccentricity will draw people in even if they are from outside Brisbane or too young to remember the Pink Twins,” says QPAC director John Kotzas. “It is really a ‘feel good’ story.”

The Pink Twins: Wednesday, July 22 to Saturday, August 1 at the Cremorne Theatre, QPAC.  More info and tickets ($19-$39) from www.qtix.com.au or 136 246.
