Fresh from his residency at the Perth International Arts Festival, Brisbane multi-media artist Tom Hall (pictured) will take to the Judith Wright Centre shopfront on Brunswick Street with his first major solo work this year.
While Hall is sometimes overlooked in the Brisbane arts scene, his relative anonymity comes down to the fact that he plays a lot more outside of Brisbane than at home. Interstate and Japanese tours have kept him away, but now he’s back to wow locals with a stunning work that involves projected moving images that interact with audiences. Left of Left: 10am-5pm Saturday, June 20 to Saturday, June 27 (excluding Sunday) at the Judith Wright Centre of Contemporary Arts, 420 Brunswick Street, Fortitude Valley – free. Closing night performance: 8pm Saturday, June 27 – tickets ($15-$20). Bookings at www.judithwrightcentre.com or on (07) 3872 9000. |
