Camp movie marathon

No doubt about it, the Globe Theatre is a Brisbane gem.

Nowhere else can you catch such a comprehensive roster of cult, classic and alternative films on the big screen – and that tradition continues this month with the Camp Cinema Classics Movie Marathon.

A triple treat of camp classics, the event will feature Aussie drag-fest The Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert, German cult classic Hedwig and the Angry Inch and the so-bad-it’s fantastic Showgirls; the infamous 1995 film about a Las Vegas showgirl (Elizabeth Berkley, pictured) who claws her way to the top.

Camp Cinema Classis Movie Marathon: Sunday, June 14 at the Globe Theatre, 220 Brunswick Street, Fortitude Valley. Admission ($15) gives entry to Priscilla (2pm), Hedwig (4pm) and Showgirls (6pm). Bookings on 1300 762 545.
