Soap opera meets art house film in Shaun Parker’s Blue Love, a poetic and satirical take on the clichés of pop culture, romance, coupledom and suburbia. Originally a multi-award-winning short film, Blue Love screened around the world before touring as a live show internationally. This full length physical theatre and dance work is funded by Arts South Australia and the Sophiensaele Theatre in Berlin. The performance is inspired by famous works of art, theatre, music, and film that deal with the concept of love.
Blue Love: various times and dates from Tuesday April 28 to Saturday, May 9 at Roundhouse Theatre, Musk Avenue, Kelvin Grove Urban Village. Session times and tickets ($33-$63) available on (07) 3007 8600 or at www.laboite.com.au. |
