More than 20 years after The Simpsons began and 400-odd years since Shakespeare penned Macbeth, a fusion of the two (yes, really) is coming to Queensland!

MacHomer, which stars Homer as the lead and Marge as Lady MacHomer, sees Rick Miller bring his one-man show – which has played to half a million people worldwide – to Brisbane.

Miller, who recreates more than 50 characters from The Simpsons, turns the Shakespearean tragedy on its head to create a comedy The Los Angeles Times says “works like gangbusters” and The Independent calls “hilarious and awe-inspiring”. Missing it risks a massive ‘D’oh!’

MacHomer: January 24-30 at the Playhouse, Queensland Performing Arts Centre (QPAC), South Bank. Tickets ($23.50-$45.50) from www.qpac.com.au or 136 246.
