alice250.jpg Brisbane Festival 2008 presents Alice 21, a free outdoor production about an urban teenage girl’s search for her individual identity in the 21st century, commissioned and produced by Brisbane Festival 2008, and written and directed by Stephen Rowan and Linda Hassall.

Taking the premise from Lewis Carroll’s Alice in Wonderland, Alice 21 explores youth culture through Alice’s eyes.

Finding a niche culture affects all aspects of Alice’s life – the clothes she wears, the peer group she hangs with, the friends she rejects, what she should be rebelling against, and the music she listens to!

This world premiere is a visually stunning musical performance incorporating multi-media, dance, fantastic musicians and sassy dialogue.

Judith Wright Centre Car Park (behind the JWC entry via Robertson Street, Fortitude Valley, no seating provided, BYO chair or pillow) 7pm Thu Jul 31 to Sat Aug 2. Tickets: FREE, no bookings required.
