Renowned biographer and investigative journalist Ian Halperin has claimed that Michael Jackson was gay. Halperin, who provoked outrage in December last year when he predicted that Jackson had six months to live, says he has proof that the ‘King of Pop’ was gay, and that he will release the details in his new book, Unmasked: The Final Years of Michael Jackson, to be published this month. The book was already slated for release before Jackson’s death, with the long-time Jackson watcher telling The Globe and Mail: “I timed it because I knew around this time he was a candidate to die. I’m being totally up-front about that.” Writing in The Daily Mail this week, Halperin said he had spoken to two of Jackson’s previous male lovers. He added that despite allegations of sexual abuse by Jordan Chandler and Gavin Arvizo, Jackson was not a paedophile. He did state, however, that the singer was interested in younger men. “In the course of my investigations, I spoke to two of [Jackson’s] gay lovers, one a Hollywood waiter, the other an aspiring actor,” said Halperin. “The waiter had remained friends, perhaps more, with the singer until his death last week. He had served Jackson at a restaurant, Jackson made his interest plain, and the two slept together the following night. According to the waiter, Jackson fell in love.” He said that the waiter showed him evidence of the alleged affair with Jackson, including intimate photographs of the pair together. Halperin’s allegations follow similar assertions from the deceased star’s own brother, Jermaine Jackson. In 2006, it was revealed that Jermaine wrote in a draft of his yet-to-be-published autobiography, Legacy: Surviving the Best and the Worst, that he and his brothers thought their superstar brother was gay. The brothers met lots of women while touring as the Jackson 5 and all eventually fell in love, said Jermaine, “But Michael, well, he wasn’t interested. We used to quietly say that we couldn’t have a gay brother.”

How appropriate...
written by Leanndra , July 05, 2009 that the book was due for release just after MJ died. Well, I for one won't be buying it and I hope others dont either. Its just another scum bag looking to get rich off the tradegy and misfortune of MJ. Besides, if we want to know any info on MJ, we can do a web search. And so what if he was gay. Big deal!!!!! report abuse

I knew he was, does not matter!
written by Daisy , July 04, 2009 I wish that he could have just lived his life and loved who he wanted man/woman. I really do not think he molested children. I think he tried to protect them because he was definately abused. I think that is why he had such a strong stance on protecting children. I think he was gay but felt shamed and fought it rather than to find true hapiness. I was 10 years old when Thriller hit #1 no one in music history has done what he has. report abuse

I KNEW IT!
written by chuck , July 02, 2009 For years I suspected it. Just wished he would have come out of the closet earlier and stood proud. Would not have made a bit of difference to me. Too bad he had to live a double life. report abuse
