Actress and director Jodie Foster (seen here holding the Sherry Lansing Leadership Award at the 16th annual Women in Entertainment breakfast in Beverly Hills on Tuesday, December 4) made headlines this week after publicly acknowledging her longtime female companion at the event. Upon receiving an award from the Hollywood Reporter, Foster thanked “my beautiful Cydney who sticks with me through all the rotten and the bliss”. Foster, a former child star whose CV includes such hits as Taxi Driver, The Silence of the Lambs and Panic Room, has long been assumed to be a lesbian, but has repeatedly refused to comment on such rumours.
