Human Rights and Equal Opportunity Commissioner Graeme Innes (centre) met with transgenders and their supporters in Brisbane on June 19 to launch an inquiry into the issues faced by sex- and gender-diverse communities.

A key issue identified was the difficulties trangenders who don’t undergo surgery must face in order to obtain documentation.
