The Brisbane Gay and Lesbian Business Network (GLBN) is making February fabulous by announcing two new events at new locations this month with more to be announced soon.
First up is the return of the network’s Friday night drinks at a new venue, the Girder at the London Woolstores, 36 Vernon Terrace in Teneriffe between 6.30pm and 8.30pm on Friday, February 8.
“Girder is known for its awesome menu, extensive beer list, huge wine selection and a great, funky atmosphere,” said GLBN Functions Director Lachan Thatcher.
“It’s a fantastic way to wrap up the week and enter the weekend ahead. A chance to just socialise and mix without any formalities and best of all the cost is a gold coin donation toward the nibbles provided by Girder and the GLBN.”

“We are also having an evening dinner function called “Hors d’oeuvre” on Wednesday, February 27 from 6.30pm at the Merthyr Bowls Club, Oxlade Drive in New Farm.
“The cost is a very reasonable $35 per person which includes a welcome drink on arrival and there will be an invited guest speaker as well. The Merthyr Bowls Club has promised us a huge selection of scrumptious creations for us to savour in a relaxed riverside environment!”
