Evolution Publishing, Australia’s leading gay and lesbian publishing house, has acquired South Australia’s GLBTQ magazine, Blaze.
Blaze is the seventh publication in Evolution’s suite of magazines.
Publisher Peter Walton (pictured, right, with Blaze editor Scott McGuinness) said Blaze was a welcome addition to the company.
“Evolution employs the best team of writers, editors and designers in
Australian gay media. That team has now grown with the acquisition of Blaze.
“Blaze will continue to present a uniquely South Australian take
on GLBTQ life, but we want to see it improve in content and readability
over the next few months.”
Walton said Blaze media’s editorial and advertising staff will continue
to work for the publication in Adelaide, maintaining a solid local base.

McGuinness said the paper was ready to move into “exciting new territory”.
“With Evolution's vast resources across the country and our
talented team here in SA, look out for a smart 'new look' Blaze in the very near future,” McGuinness said.
"This is our chance to take Blaze to the next level with a respected national backer. With full
colour throughout on gloss paper and stories, news and photos sourced from
around the country, our readers will soon be enjoying a very different Blaze."
