Members of the Aqualicious swimming team will be up for auction at the annual Aqualicious Pool Party from 6.30pm on January 19 at Splash Centenary Pool in Spring Hill.
The boys from the team’s ‘wet ’n’ delicious’ calendar have graciously allowed themselves to be auctioned off with proceeds to be donated to their selected charities.
One of the major beneficiaries will be the QAHC Healthy Communities Fund, which helps finance LGBT groups and programs. Helping to fulfil the swim stars’ promise that this year’s splash bash will be “wetter and wilder than ever before”, the party will be licensed for the first time. DJ Les Smith will spin the tunes while ‘Pool Diva’ Miss Synthetique will commandeer the roving entertainment.
“It will surely be a wet and delicious spectacle,” say the tastily togged team of damp champs. The event will also be the official send-off party for athletes going to the First Asia Pacific Outgames in Melbourne next month.
“Come along and wish the QTs (Queensland team members) all the best for their events.” At only $5 there are limited tickets available, but they include bus transfers to the Wickham for the Slippery When Wet party afterwards.
