ALASKAN MALAMUTE

Kirra was brought to us by our inspectors after her previous owners had failed to treat insect bites on her ears. As a result, her ears are a little tatty – but she’s still a looker! Anyone who knows anything about Alaskan Malamutes know that they’re not quite like other dogs: elegant, independent and yes, sometimes a little stubborn, but once you connect with them they tend to be quite addictive! Beautiful singing voices, gorgeous looks and an I-can-take-care-of-myself-but-prefer-you-around attitude – what’s not to love?

Fox came to us from another shelter and was very shy on arrival. It was soon discovered that he was much better and braver in a home than a shelter and became a very sweet, loving and loyal little dog. For his sake, he has been in a foster home ever since, but that makes it harder for him to find a permanent home. All he needs is someone who will love him, treat him gently and show him the world isn’t all that scary and he will reward you with more love and affection than you could ask for! We think of Fox as a ‘hidden gem’ – a priceless discovery for some lucky person!

Bonnie was found as a stray, living on the street with her five kittens. However, she can’t have been there long because, although a little shy, she just loves humans and enjoys interacting with them. She will reach out her little paws to you from her snuggle spot and pat you with her paws until you pat her right back! She can be a little shy of other cats, but is a right little tart with people – she even rolls over so you can rub her tummy! This little miss is primed to become someone’s princess – she just has to find the right castle and some loyal subjects.

Benny (and his best buddy Bobby) is a white dove – yes, the kind that magicians use! Or, the kind that brought Noah the olive branch if you prefer that tale. With his pristine white feathers and his gentle coo, he is one of those creatures that soothe you just by existing – and who doesn’t need that in this busy age? All he needs is an aviary and his birdie-buddies around him (it’s true what they say about birds of a feather!) and he’ll be happy as a… well, as a dove!
